Ian and Jonathan's LEGO Project

For our lego project Jonathan and I chose to build a robot arm. We probably should have started out with a simpler project because we had many problems in the programming of our robot arm. The hand wouldn't open and close and it wouldn't rotate at times. There were some spelling errors in our commands and that was part of our problem. The next week we discovered that we had forgotten to type in a whole section of the page! Things improved after that discovery. Our arm worked correctly. We programmed it to pick up legos and drop them in specific bins. We then planned to install an extra bin and a light sensor so the computer can read what color the lego is and drop them into color-identified bins.

For the second part of our project, we had a lot of problems with writing our procedures. The light sensor didn't always sense the same reflection of light from the legos so sometimes it thought it had a different color than it did.
